Delete your Songscape data
This page explains how to delete your data from Songscape: Bird Sound ID, the Android app by ConciseWebDesign.
How to delete your data
Songscape keeps your data only on your own phone. ConciseWebDesign has no servers, accounts or cloud copies, so deleting it on your phone deletes it completely. Choose any of these options:
- Delete everything in the app: open Songscape, tap Settings, scroll to Danger Zone, tap Clear All Data and confirm.
- Delete single sessions: open the Session Library, choose a session and delete it. This removes its recordings, detections and locations.
- Uninstall the app: uninstalling Songscape removes all of its data from your phone.
- Ask us by email: write to admin@concise.design with the subject "Songscape data deletion request". We reply within 7 days. The only Songscape data we can ever hold is emails you chose to send us, and we delete them on request.

What is kept
Nothing. ConciseWebDesign does not keep any Songscape data after deletion, and there is no additional retention period. Files you exported or shared yourself (for example a CSV or ZIP saved to another app) are copies you control, so delete those where you saved them.
Optional online features
Map tiles, place names and weather are off by default. If you switch them on, Songscape sends map tile coordinates or a session's location directly to OpenStreetMap or Open-Meteo to get that information. ConciseWebDesign never receives or stores these requests. Those providers handle them under their own privacy policies; see our Privacy Policy for details.
