FAQ
Questions people ask
Do I need to install anything?
No. Voxfolio works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on phones, tablets and computers. You can add it to your home screen. An Android app is coming soon to Google Play, and an iPhone app after that.
What happens if I lose signal mid-recording?
Nothing is lost. Audio is saved on your device every second and uploads by itself when you're back online. If the app closes while you're recording, Voxfolio offers to recover the recording next time you open it.
How accurate is the transcription?
It's usually very good, with punctuation and language detection, but it can make mistakes, especially with names. You can edit any transcript, and the original is always kept alongside your edits.
Is the AI going to write my journal for me?
No. Your words are the journal. Transcription is clearly labelled, and any future AI features will be optional, editable, easy to switch off, and kept separate from what you actually said.
Is this therapy or medical advice?
No. Mood and energy check-ins are just notes for you. Voxfolio never diagnoses anything. If you're struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a local support line.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your journal moves to the Free plan automatically. Every entry, recording and photo stays. You just get 60 transcription minutes a month instead of 30 hours.
Can I get my journal out?
Yes, at any time and on every plan. Settings has an Export button that gives you a zip with every entry as JSON and Markdown, plus your original audio and photos.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings, then Delete my account permanently. Everything is removed straight away, and any subscription is cancelled at the same time.
